Membership to SJMHF

SJMHF BATTALIONS (AFFILIATED PRAYER GROUPS)

  1. St. Michael Parish Battalion (Corkery, Ont.) Holy Face prayers after 7:30 PM Mass every Tuesday evening.
  2. Holy Redeemer Parish Battalion (Kanata, Ont.) Holy Face Prayers said after Monday Morning 9AM Mass .
  3. Annunciation of the Lord Parish Battalion (Gloucester, Ont.) Holy Face Prayers said after Tuesday Morning 9AM Mass.
  4. St. John The Baptist Parish Battalion (Perth, Ont.) Holy Face Prayers on the Last Thursday of each month after 12 noon Mass
  5. Blessed Sacrament Parish Battalion (Ottawa, Ont.) Holy Face Prayers on Every Tuesday night after 6:30 PM Mass.
Steps in forming a SJMHF Prayer Group
1. Enroll in the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face
2. Consider reading some of the reading material recommended below.
3. Watch the recommended videos
4. Pray the devotional prayers of the Holy Face
5. Seek out at another person and start praying for more people to join your prayer group. Start praying.
6. Once you have 6 people in total, seek out a parish venue for weekly meetings or meet through video conferencing. (Choose a name for your prayer group after a saint associated with this devotion.)
7. Register in the Armada of the Holy Face once you have formed your group

ST. JOSEPH`S MISSIONARIES OF THE HOLY FACE – FORMATION

There are three levels of membership in the Holy Face Spiritual Union, all of which will be under the spiritual guidance of a Chaplain.

LEVEL 1 – DEFENDER

Duties

  1. To be inscribed on the Register of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face
  2. To receive the rule with the certificate of enrollment
  3. To recite daily for the intentions of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face –  1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary, 1 Glory Be, & the Act of Praise (O Lord, show us Thy Face and we shall be saved)
  4. To vow to avoid blasphemies and the profanation of Sunday, and to repair these evils by an exterior or interior act of reparation
  5. To wear an effigy of the Holy Face, either on a cross, medal, or scapular
  6. To assist, in as far as may be possible, at the monthly devotional prayer meetings
  7. To zealously propagate devotion to the Holy Face

Highly Recommended:

  1. Daily Mass attendance as far as possible

  4. To enthrone one`s home to the Holy Face, & to both the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
  5. To be invested in the Brown Scapular of our Lady of Mt. Carmel
  6. Daily Holy Scripture reading
  7. Monthly Confession
  8. Attendance at First Friday & First Saturday Masses
  9. To make a weekly Holy Hour

LEVEL 2 – ARCHER

Duties

  1. To complete all Defender duties
  2. To daily pray the “Reparation to the Holy Face for Canada” prayer
  3. To daily pray the “St. Joseph Terror of Demons” prayer
  4. To intercede for the St. Joseph`s Missionary of the Holy Face efforts prior to talks, retreats, conferences, or other initiatives

Highly Recommended:

  1. Daily Mass attendance as far as possible
  2. To daily pray the Holy Face Chaplet & prayer(s) of Reparation.
  3. To pray a Novena to the Holy Face leading up to the Feast Day (Vigil of Shrove Tuesday)
  4. To attend Holy Mass on the Feast Day of the Holy Face (Shrove Tuesday)

Duties

  2. To daily pray the Holy Face Chaplet and prayer(s) of Reparation
  3. To pray the Holy Face Novena leading up to the Feast Day (Vigil of Shrove Tuesday)
  4. To attend Holy Mass on the Feast Day of the Holy Face (Shrove Tuesday)
  5. To host parish presentations for the advancement of the Holy Face Devotion
  6. To distribute Holy Face Sacramentals, prayer cards, religious articles & books

Highly Recommended:

  1. Daily Mass attendance as far as possible
  2. Fasting one day per week to make Reparation to the Holy Face or for particular intentions as they arise
